Please tell us a little background about yourself and how you started furniture flipping?
I have been doing hair and makeup for years and kind of “stumbled upon” furniture flipping! One day I was driving home and saw two ugly bookshelves sitting on someone’s curb, and for some reason, stopped to pick them up, thinking I could make them pretty and sell them.
It took me 2 full weeks to do anything with them, and I finally took the chance. They were painted and sold the same day!! I had never thought about furniture flipping and had zero experience painting furniture. During the pandemic, I couldn’t do hair and makeup for weddings, so I wanted a creative outlet that would allow me to make extra money.
Little did I know furniture flipping would be so profitable, and the experience would change my life!
What pieces of furniture can I flip?
You can flip anything that is structurally sound! I personally love all things wooden but don’t discriminate against furniture that isn’t natural wood. As long as a piece is sturdy, you can make it beautiful and give it new life!
Where can I find furniture to flip?
Some of my favorite places to find furniture are Yard sales, the Next-door app, Facebook marketplace, and Craigslist. There are so many places to find furniture!
Where can I sell my flipped furniture? Can I sell them online?
You can sell locally on the FB marketplace, the next-door app, craigslist, and many other places. Using your Instagram and Facebook along with local buy/sell groups can help to create custom orders. There unlimited places to sell furniture!
Is flipping furniture really profitable?
YES! I teach my students a lot of cool tricks to keep costs low and keep profits high so that it can become a full-time job for them if that’s their goal! The reason why I love sharing my passion for furniture flipping is because of how profitable and rewarding it is!
How much money can I make from flipping furniture?
The limit really does not exist. It all depends on the tips you use to keep costs low and profits high, along with how many flips you do per week, the tools you choose to use to speed things up so that you can flip more pieces at once, and other factors. Our students range anywhere from $500- $3000 per week using some of our basic tips and techniques!
